The Author

Marco Dimaano graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts for Advertising. The first thing he’ll say though is that most of his drawing skill came from doodling cartoons and comic strips in his youth, and more recently, in making comic books during downtime at work in advertising agencies, where he works as a copywriter (he doesn’t work as an artist so he won’t get sick of drawing stuff in his personal time).

Marc’s true passion is drawing comics and telling stories. His use of the manga style came of age only recently, though he has been influenced by the styles of the genre since childhood. Marc cites names like Kosuke Fujishima (Oh! My Goddess) and Hayao Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of Winds) as artistic and storytelling influences.
